Warehousing

Special Service offers short to medium term warehousing and handling at its larger facilities (detailed below). Subject to prior special arrangements we can also provide access and availability outside of normal business hours.  Locations have normal handling equipment and packaging materials on hand.

Custom tailored storage and access plans designed to meet your company’s specific storage needs
Receipt / inspecting / reporting / replenishment of inbound inventory for Tech teams to come and pull during a multi-location upgrade program or similar
Transfer handling / cross-dock
PMC & Container Breakdowns and builds
Inbound bulk freight receipt, break down, labelling and routing out into network or elsewhere
Receipt of damaged,  unsecured or displaced freight, breakdown / report / photograph / sort / repack / repalletization / banding / labelling and routing out for final mile delivery
Detrashing of packaging materials
Store, inventory control, distribute (pick-n-pull) and management of small high value product
Recovery, reverse logistics and returns management
Building consolidations from different shippers / manufacturers prior to delivery
Order Consolidation / De-consolidation
Prepare shipping manifests / bills of lading / label
Holding for date sensitive final mile delivery

Additionally, many locations are CBP bonded Container Freight Stations, and the Company is qualified to receive and ship out UIIA controlled containers (We do not provide drayage services).
